The 2-year programme is split into smaller modules, so that the students can not only get a qualification but also enhance the career opportunities with each module. The two-year programme allows the students to do it in parts with intermediate certifications. Students earn credits and build their qualification into a PG degree or a Master's Degree at JK Lakshmipat University. The course contents have been divided into the following modules:
Project based learning of skills and techniques associated with design thinking.
Learners shall be equipped with tools and methodologies, which help in developing a problem-solving mindset as an augmentation to their professional personas.
Opportunity scope post completion includes Innovation centric roles in their core disciplines and many more
The latter half of the module shall help learners build an understanding of the elements & principles of design. Learning outcomes include understanding of identity, branding, packaging & storytelling etc, culminating into a design project.
Courses like Product UI, and wireframing helps the learners to come up with objects and solutions that cater to the human/ social need in a user-centric and integrated manner. Opportunity scope post completion of this module includes product management, design apprenticeships, interdisciplinary roles in consultancies, design roles in startups in UI UX, design and manufacturing, brand and identity design and many more.
Engagement as product or interaction designers and managers in the domains like UI UX, furniture industry, crafts and livelihoods, tech-based startups and documentation.
The last part of the programme is split into two semesters, and then the final semester is allocated to a graduation/capstone project that brings together the learnings of the entire program.
The program builds over the previous block by foraying into advanced study of triggers like materials, techniques, product detailing etc. Graduating from a technically simple product, the last semesters deal with design of technically complex products, experiences and systems thinking in design.
Learners are exposed to a variety of challenges and scenarios where design plays an important role. Domains like IoT, healthcare, social and environmental impact, etc. are triggers for learners to develop a deeper and holistic understanding. Engagement as expert designers and project coordinators in domains like UI UX, product design, furniture and lifestyle, tech-based startups, crafts and livelihoods, social sector organisations, branding and identity consultancies, appliance and home betterment industry & service design.

Bala is the founding Director of the Institute of Design at JKLU and President of ADI. He was the Dean of IILM School of Design in Gurgaon from 2007 to 2010 and has also been a member of the Academic Board for several design institutes. He has been a Design Consultant to Oxfam and was instrumental in setting up the Prototype Initiative for Design Excellence (PRIDE). He has designed market-leading products for Eveready, Eicher, Usha, Hero Motors, Bajaj, NIF and UNDP. He writes on the subject of Design in leading magazines and newspapers and on his blog.

Raj Gopal Menon is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Calicut University with a postgraduate degree in Industrial Design from IIT, Mumbai. He has more than 35 years of experience encompassing a wide array of industries and sectors such as technology, consumer products, energy, health, and design. Kaynes Technology, RAL Consumer Products, Duron Energy Pvt. Ltd., Geneva Innovations International, Perfint Health, Vital Bio Systems, Indez Designs, and his alma mater IIT, Mumbai are some of the prestigious organisations and institutions where he has significantly contributed as a design professional. Prior to joining JKLU, Raj worked as a Consultant where he was involved in medical devices prototype production for the last two years. He is an avid reader with profound interest in music, calligraphy and origami.

Pritam Singh is an established Interaction Designer known for his inquisitive mindset and a methodical, pragmatic approach. He holds more than 5 years of professional experience in the realm of innovative experience design spanning diverse industries like Imagin XP, Deep Loop, United World Institute of Design, Woxsen School of Art & Design, and Mody University. Prior to joining JKLU, Pritam served as a consultant in digital product design for two years. He is an accomplished academician and an authority in UI/ UX with a comprehensive understanding of diverse domains, including user experience, design research, human-computer interaction, human-machine interface, voice-user interface, interaction design, and service design.

Prof. Suranjana Satwalekar studied Exhibition Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad and has a professional career spanning over three decades in exhibition/museum design, photography, audio visuals and design for television. She was instrumental in setting up NID's multi-image Audio Visual Studio and re-starting its Exhibition Design Programme in 1997, and left NID in 2003 to start independent design practice in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. A keen photographer, her photographs are featured in Rashtrapati Bhawan-The Story of the President's House; Handmade in India, an encyclopedia of Indian crafts and Great Monuments of India, a DK publication.
