Sonali Gupta

Assistant Professor

With a strong foundation in design education and practice across India and the United Kingdom, Sonali Gupta brings a multidisciplinary perspective to the classroom. She holds a Master of Design (M.Des) from the School of Art and Design, Nottingham Trent University, England and a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) from the Symbiosis Institute of Design, Pune, India. With experience in both academic leadership and creative practice, she is passionate about exploring how design thinking and research can drive innovation, empathy, and impact in diverse contexts. Her approach to teaching blends conceptual exploration with practical application, encouraging students to think critically, prototype boldly, and design responsibly.

Yash Bahadur Raizada

Assistant Professor

Yash is a design professional with over 7 years of experience in the corporate and public sectors, coupled with 5+ years in design academia. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with prominent organizations, including the Government of Rajasthan and the Government of Bihar, on various grassroots-level awareness campaigns and public sector projects. These initiatives encompassed advertising, media management, and procurement. Yash's expertise lies in data-driven design, information visualization, campaign design, and management.

Pritam Singh

Assistant Professor

Pritam Singh is an established Interaction Designer known for his inquisitive mindset and a methodical, pragmatic approach. He holds more than 5 years of professional experience in the realm of innovative experience design spanning diverse industries like Imagin XP, Deep Loop, United World Institute of Design, Woxsen School of Art & Design, and Mody University. Prior to joining JKLU, Pritam served as a consultant in digital product design for two years. He is an accomplished academician and an authority in UI/ UX with a comprehensive understanding of diverse domains, including user experience, design research, human-computer interaction, human-machine interface, voice-user interface, interaction design, and service design.

Aastha Kishansinh Gohil

Assistant Professor

Aastha G is a storyteller who is intrigued by and interested in exploring the transparency and capturing life aspects of filmmaking. Having endeavoured in various mediums such as fine arts, design and communication, I feel most comfortable with communication design and filmmaking as a medium to express myself.

Having graduated in Film Making from National institute of Design- NID (2009) and Edinburgh Napier University (2013) with MA in Screenwriting and as a practicing screenwriter/director, she bears a mélange of work experience with communication Design and film making expertise.

Dr. Devanuj Kanta Balkrishnan

Professor

Devanuj is a designer with qualifications in three different domains of design namely, Architecture, Product Design and Human-Computer Interaction. In his PhD, he worked on understanding and predicting digital technology usage in rural and low-literate contexts in India from a design-oriented approach. During his stint with the IT industry, he developed algorithms for human handwriting recognition and synthesis. He was also involved in developing a speech database (needed for training speech recognition engines).

Nitin Vishwakarma

Associate Professor

Mr. Nitin Vishwakarma has a 20+ years of professional experience in communication design for print, interactive and digital media and 10+ years of experience in academics.
